Valley Catholic Middle School student Jimin has been honored with a Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key Award for her Digital Artwork. Her work has been submitted to the national level competition.
“My artwork is called ‘System Overload,’ which is illustrated through the glitches and panicked appearance of the girl. This was inspired by many of my experiences through the pandemic (hence the mask), showing the overwhelmed feelings I felt when the world as I knew it changed completely in a matter of weeks. It also represents the shock and alarm caused by the sudden changes in my life,” said Jimin.
Results of the national competition will be announced on March 17. Good luck, Jimin!
