Charisma Dance Team Coach: Jessica Anderson
Jessica Anderson joined Charisma in 2006 as assistant coach and has served as head coach and choreographer since 2007. Under Jessica’s coaching partnership with Megan Hoffman, Charisma have placed in the top two teams at the OSAA State Championships every year since 2008 and are the current state champions at the 3A/2A/1A level with four consecutive titles. In 2013, Coach Anderson was named the Dance and Drill Coaches Association (DDCA) “Coach of the Year,” and she and Coach Hoffman were selected as the 2013 and 2010 Valley Catholic Coaches of the Year. Coach Anderson is also an active member of the DDCA, and her skills as a choreographer, dance team consultant, and try-out judge are frequently sought after in the dance community. In high school, Jessica was a member of the Wilsonville Pride dance team where she served as team captain her senior year, earning state championships in 1999 and 2000. She also performed with OSU’s Elite dance team in 2004, graduating from Oregon State in 2005 with a bachelor’s in biology and a minor in psychology. In 2012, she completed her doctoral studies in naturopathic medicine and is currently establishing her medical career as a holistic primary care physician in Tigard.
Charisma Dance Team Coach: Megan Hoffman
Megan helped lead Charisma to State Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Coach Hoffman and head coach Jessica Anderson were selected as the 2009-2010 Valley Catholic Coaches of the year. In 2000 Megan was a member of the first Charisma dance team and in her junior and senior years served as team captain. Megan graduated from the University of Portland in May 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. During her freshman year she was a member of the UP dance team. She is now a nurse at Emanuel Children’s Hospital, working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
