Boys Varsity Soccer Coach: Mike Chertude

Mike Chertude, who assisted the 2008 and 2009 Valiant squads, returned to Valley Catholic in 2013 as head coach. Mike has coached 15 years of area club soccer, including 10 years for the Westside Metro Soccer Club. He currently coaches for the Lake Oswego and Crossfire Oregon Clubs. It’s no surprise that Mike does an excellent job managing the soccer. For the last 20 years he has been a senior revenue auditor for the Washington State Department of Revenue.

Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach: Christopher Chertude

Christopher Chertude attended Jesuit High School, playing four years on their varsity soccer team where he helped lead Jesuit to two boys soccer state championships. Christopher played for the Portland Timbers U-18 academy team, ODP Region IV team, and trained with and was called up for the Timbers Reserve team against the LA Galaxy at Providence Park field. During the 2014-2015 season, he played with Peninsula College Men’s Soccer team. During his playing time in Port Angeles, he assisted the Port Angeles High School boys team, as well as being an individual trainer for the Port Angeles academy teams, along with helping multiple Crossfire Oregon teams and individual training.
