Religion and Girls Cross Country Head Coach | Eric Berge teaches the freshman Intro to Religion and junior Catholic Social Teaching class. He began teaching at Valley Catholic in 2006 and, after a three year stint on the East Coast, returned to Valley Catholic in 2017. From 2014-2017, Eric taught religion and U.S. history at Cristo Rey New York High School in New York City, where he also served as the head cross country coach. He received a B.A. in Religious Studies, with minors in History and Philosophy, from Gonzaga University and a M.S. in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University. After graduating from Gonzaga, Eric worked for one year with the Passionist Volunteers International in Kingston, Jamaica. Eric serves as an assistant boys cross country coach, and served as the head girls cross country coach from 2007-2013, leading the Valiants to three district championships and two second place finishes at the OSAA State Championship meet.
