A Quick Run to Christmas
It may only be three weeks of classes until Christmas Break but there is no slowing down. Basketball, dance, and swimming are in full swing. The band, orchestra and choir are making final preparations for their concerts, and auditions for the spring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are just weeks away.
The annual Food Drive and Auction, of course, are in high gear. Families, students, and staff have been so incredibly supportive of our efforts. We have already raised over $3,000 dollars and we still have two more auction days remaining. Thank you for living and giving valiantly.
We should not be in such a hurry, though, to get to Christmas that we rush through Advent. In this incredibly busy time of the year, might I suggest we all take time to try to slow things down (when we can)? Here is a simple reflection I came across.
Dear Jesus, you are the hope in our messy world. This Advent, help us slow down, listen to your voice, and focus on what’s really important. We place our hope in you as we prepare our hearts to celebrate your birth on Christmas. Amen.
Doug Ierardi, Principal
I don’t know when we will start to get serious winter weather but it is likely that the roads, at least some roads, may be slick in the early mornings or later in the evenings. Please advise your kids to be cautious and drive safely.
