It seems as though fall has officially arrived with the cool weather and the changing of the leaves. The beginning of our year has been busy and exciting. Students are settling into their routines, beginning their curriculum and working together on service projects and in afterschool programs.
Each year our teachers also do a lot of learning. Next Friday, October 11, we will attend our first Archdiocesan in-service day. Teachers will spend the day participating in a variety of workshops focused on curriculum, academics and best practices in the classroom. We are looking forward to sharing what we learn with each other and in our classrooms!
The annual VCES jog-a-thon is just around the corner. On October 18, our entire community will come together to support our students and our programs. Each year our students look forward to this fun-filled day. Their smiling faces, rain or shine, brighten our day and create memories that will last a lifetime. For more information about the jog-a-thon, to donate or volunteer, please see this week’s Friday Five. Without the support of our parents and volunteers, this day would not be possible. We look forward to seeing you there!
