On Wednesday, May 1, we began the final stretch of the school year with our May Crowning. While May Crownings are not new to the Catholic faith, we were so blessed to be able to gather in the new Marian Garden as a school community to honor Mary. In a time where countless honors and awards are presented to well-deserving individuals, such as the Nobel Peace Prize, Athletes and Artists of the Year, Valedictorians and the like, we also spend time remembering the person who provides us the ultimate example of how to pray and accept God’s plan. It was a very special moment and I hope you get a chance to talk to your students about the May Crowning.
With the end of the year approaching, the calendar seems to explode with activity. In the next few weeks, VCMS students will be participating in the rescheduled Waves of Love trip to the coast, music concerts, the Mars Project, Capstone and Graduation. We look forward to seeing them showcase their talents and the effort they put into their classes and projects this year.
Please remember to check the school calendar, the weekly VC Buzz and your email for details regarding each of the upcoming events.
