No Slowing Down

It seems like I have addressed this with relative frequency throughout the years. So why break with tradition?

The opportunities that our kids have during their high school careers are significantly more than I ever had. As busy and as hectic as things get for them, and for us, it is important to remember that these opportunities bring us together and help build community. Over the last several weeks, I have seen our kids and families put in an extraordinary amount of time and energy participating in events and supporting each other.

Winter sports are finishing with a flurry of activity just as spring ones begin. Our swimmers finished off a great season with some outstanding State performances. Both basketball teams are still alive in the playoffs. The Charisma is fine-tuning their performance and gearing up for another championship run and the spring musical opens tonight. The Gala was a great success and our kids will be involved with the Middle School Speech Tournament this weekend.

The next few weeks show no signs of slowing down. Spring sports began practicing this week and competition begins by mid-month. Senior leaders are working hard to put the final touches on the Junior Encounter. In the midst of all of this, we will begin class registration for next year and students will continue to strive for excellence in the classroom.

Thank you all, once again, for helping to make Valley Catholic High School a great place. Thank you to the student athletes, the Blue Crew, and the Pep Band; to the actors, actresses, and the whole supporting crew; to the retreat team and crew and to those going on the Encounter; to the parents and other family members who continue to make sacrifices to support all of our efforts.

Valiantly,

Doug Ierardi,

Principal
