Dear Families,

It looks like spring has arrived! What a beautiful time of year to be on our campus. Our students have been enjoying more and more time outside, walking, playing, observing and enjoying the weather. Please make sure to still send a jacket or sweater for those cooler mornings. Just a reminder: As the sun comes out from behind the clouds, parents may want to apply sunscreen prior to drop off in the morning. If an additional application is needed in the afternoon, we will reapply as needed.

Many of our students will transition to a new classroom in June. This is an exciting time for students – they will get to visit their new classroom and start building a relationship with their new teachers. We work to ensure the smoothest transition possible for the children but, if you have any concerns, please let us know. We are all getting excited for the summer months!

Each year, we take one week to celebrate our teachers and what they do for our school. Next week, May 7-11, we will honor our teachers with a number of fun treats and gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week: Monday, we are asking families to bring a card for their teachers to show them how much they are loved and appreciated; Tuesday, a number of families are helping us with a special breakfast bar; Wednesday, the school is providing a small gift certificate; Thursday, families are helping us treat our teachers to a variety of desserts; Friday, teachers will feast on a catered lunch provided by the school.

Let’s show our teachers how much we love them and thank them for working with our children!

In Christ,

Melissa Doxtator
