Dear Parents,

We are very excited to see the students perform at the upcoming band, choir and orchestra concerts. This year, we are combining the middle and high school performances so that the performers as well as the audience may enjoy the progression of their skills. In addition, this will allow the students to perform a few numbers together. We hope your family will be able to join us for several evenings of art and song.

  • The orchestra will perform on Wednesday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m.
  • The band will perform on Thursday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m.
  • The choir will perform on Sunday, December 10, at 7:00 p.m.

We are in the middle of our annual food drive which is a tradition on our campus that goes back at least thirty years. A sign-up list was emailed to each student’s VC Student account to help families plan their donations. The list is also posted on the community group teacher’s webpage.

Parents are asked to help their student sign up for a specific item using the student’s first and last name. If you have any questions or are available to help, please contact your child’s community group teacher. Thank you for your help and generosity.

Last but not least, while the staff and I appreciate parents who prioritize school, we want students healthy and ready to learn. Sick students are rarely able to absorb much, if any, of the lessons and they risk spreading their illness to other students and staff.  If your child worries about falling behind, please reassure them that adjustments will be made upon their return to school. If they are well enough to work on assignments while they are out, many teachers post their lessons on Google Classroom.

If your child is sick, or will miss school for one or more classes, please contact Mrs. Attinasi at or by calling 503-718-6500. She will forward the information to their teachers. Thank you for your help and understanding.

Christmas Blessings,

Jennifer Gfroerer
