Our Halloween festivities began on Oct. 28 with a wonderful Halloween Carnival organized by the VALOR network and a fantastic group of parent volunteers. Our school week began with the traditional Halloween parade by our kindergarten classes on the afternoon of Oct. 31. All of the classes look forward to seeing the kindergarteners in their costumes. It reminds them of their own kindergarten experiences and how kind others were to them. This was a good opportunity for all of us to show that we are growing into the loving, respectful people we are called to be. Enjoy this charming photo album of Halloween at Valley Catholic.
On Nov. 1, we celebrated the Feast of All Saints with a campus-wide Mass. Celebrating the saints is another reminder of the many role models we have to help us grow in faith and spirit. November is a time of remembrance for the loved ones past and present that have impacted our lives in so many positive ways. We have started the month with a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) display for students to remember and honor those that are in heaven.
Faculty and staff are continuing our accreditation work. Committees will spend time gathering and reviewing information to add to our self-study. This time gives us the opportunity to reflect on the information that you shared in last spring’s surveys and to look for new ways to continue meeting the needs of all students.
As we move into the month of November, may the Lord be with you and your family.
