The Valley Catholic Student Council coordinated a highly successful 2006 Food Drive resounding success! This year, the middle and high school homerooms sponsored 73 families through the Oregon Food Bank, collecting enough food for each family to have three meals each day for two weeks – including a hearty Christmas dinner! Additionally, the children of each sponsored family received toys from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.

Funds for the food drive were ingeniously raised by the student council through a number of rather unorthodox, but hilarious events including a rap contest, photos with Santa, and taping teacher Mr. Lommen to the cafeteria wall, to name a few.

 You're never too old to sit on Santa's (aka teacher Mr. McQueen's) lap, especially if it's for a
worthy cause!
