Students at Valley Catholic Elementary School have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different educational and formative activities.
Many of our students enjoy serving on our Student Council that looks to build community within our school and provides service to the school and the Beaverton area.
We have a number of music offerings that interests our students. Our Elementary School music department offers Marian Singers – a special school choir – during lunch, and youth orchestra and handbells are offered as after-school activities. Our Music School offers private music lessons for voice and instruments. These lessons can be scheduled during the school day or after school.
Extracurricular sports are sponsored by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and include football, volleyball, lacrosse, basketball, swimming, & track and field. One non-CYO sport opportunity we offer in the fall is cross country.
After school, we offer our school space to a number of outside groups that provide activities for our students. Spanish, French, and Mandarin instruction is provided through “Kids Like Languages.” Other offerings include Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Mozek Games Chess Club, Girls Inc. (a girls club), art instruction classes through “Young Rembrandts” and “Fine Art Starts,” a lego-building group called “Bricks 4 Kidz”, and a “Mad Science” program. We’ve tried to select diverse offerings so that all of our students might find something of interest.
