CYO Sports at Valley Catholic School
- Elementary and Middle School
Valley Catholic Elementary and Middle School both participate in the local Portland-area CYO program. As part of the program, our students learn the value of teamwork, good sportsmanship and fair play while developing fundamentals and skills. All eligible youth are given the opportunity to participate.The following sports are offered to all students, regardless of skill level.
FALL
Football (1st - 8th grade)
Volleyball (3rd - 8th grade girls only)
Hot Shots Basketball (1st & 2nd grade)
Swimming (K-8th grade)
WINTER
Swimming (K-8th grade)
Basketball (3rd - 8th grade)
SPRING
Track & Field (3rd-8th grade)
Lacrosse (1st - 8th grade)
The football and lacrosse teams are comprised of players from several local Catholic schools. The football team is the Region 6 CYO team, and the lacrosse team is Westside. They are not Valley Catholic teams.
In addition to the CYO sports, our elementary and middle school also offer cross country in the fall. This is a non-CYO sport and organized by current Valley coaches or staff members.
CYO Volleyball Registration is OPEN
Volleyball is offered to girls only in grades 3-8. This sport is played in the fall.
EARLY REGISTRATION is recommended. There is a $20 discount if registered by June 14.

Practices & Games: Practices will begin in late August or early September, depending on grade level. There will be two practices per week. Games will begin in September and be played on Saturday. Schedules will not be available until September.
CYO Hot Shots Registration is OPEN
Hot Shots Basketball is offered to boys and girls in 1st and 2nd grades only. This sport is played in the fall.
