Because there's so much to share this week, I ask you to spend just a bit more time with the news you find on the Elementary School webpage and within the VC View for important info you'll need for the final week before Christmas break.
If a student brings in either $1 or two items for HomePlate (see list of items), he/she will be able to wear red and green dress for the day.
It's really important that all students arrive at school with jackets that will keep them warm outside. Our students have outdoor recess throughout winter.
This parent would help to update family accounts, service opportunity information, and help run reports at the end of the school year.
Young Rembrandts, Bricks 4 Kids, Fencing, Fine Art Starts, and Mad Science all have new registration information for their winter programs.

Want to give a gift to your child's teacher but don't know what to get? Let them choose! Scrip is easy, and it's sure to be the perfect fit.
This is an optional fun reading enrichment activity for students in grades three through five. Teams of four students compete in their knowledge of 16 books they have read over the course of the school year.
Each student who reads at least 600 pages in books, magazines, etc. between December 10 and Jan. 10 will earn a free Blazer ticket for a game during February or March.
Beginning Jan. 6, Sr. Juana Gutierrez, SSMO, will begin the first of two student teaching placements she'll have at our school. We look forward to introducing you all to Sr. Juana when we return from Christmas break.

The SSMO Annual Fund, a campus-wide fundraising effort that supports critical funds for Valley Catholic students, Maryville residents and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, is officially in its fifth week.
Our school community outdid themselves in donating books. The goal was 5,000. The donations topped 12,000. Andrew thanks our community for its generosity.

Giving Tuesday's 24-hour national campaign to raise awareness for non-profits during the holiday season was enormously successful on our very own campus and culminated in a wide range of meaningful acts of kindness.
