Valley Catholic High School competes at the 4A classification in the OSAA and are also members of the Cowapa League for many of our sports, including football, volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, swimming, softball, baseball, boys golf, girls golf and track & field. We offer OSAA varsity teams in 19 sports and also JV and JV2 teams in many of these sports. The sports offered at Valley Catholic include volleyball, boys and girls cross-country, boys and girls soccer, football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls swimming, dance, baseball, softball, boys and girls tennis, boys and girls golf, and boys and girls track and field.
Valley Catholic has a rich history in athletics, including winning the Oregonian Cup four consecutive years from 2012-2015. This prestigious award is presented by the OSAA and the Oregonian newspaper and is awarded based on each school’s success in athletics, academics, sportsmanship and activities. Valley Catholic received the 3A Oregonian Cup for the 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 academic years then received the 2014-2015 Oregonian Cup in its first year competing at the 4A level. Valley Catholic is only the second school to ever win back-to-back Oregonian Cups after moving into a higher classification.
Valley Catholic also won the OACA All Sports Award by the Oregon Athletic Coaches Association as the top 3A athletics program in 2008-09, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14. The Valiants were the 4A champions in 2014-15. This honor is based upon state finishes for all varsity athletics teams.
All six Valley Catholic basketball teams won their road games in Tillamook on Feb. 16, setting the stage for the next varsity matches on Feb. 21.
On a night filled with heart and emotion - Valentine's Day 2017 - students and families packed the Valiants Gym to watch both the Valley Catholic High School girls and boys varsity basketball teams get big victories over the Scappoose Indians on Senior Night.
