For the fifth time, Valley Catholic High School has won the Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA) All-Sports Award – this year the first time as a member of the 4A Division.

Auditions for Valley Catholic Music School scholarships will be held Thursday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 1 of the music school. Sign-up sheets for auditions will be posted by Tuesday, April 28, and will close on Friday, May 8.

VCES will be a collection spot for gently used and new athletic shoes and apparel for Basketball as a Mission, and organization that provides shoes and clothing to economically underprivileged children in Spanish-speaking countries.

The Valley Catholic choir sang their hearts out Wednesday at their first-ever OMEA 4A/5A competition in Clatskanie. They struck a chord with the judges, who gave them terrific scores of 87, 87 and 88.

The concert includes all students in Grades 4 and 5 and those students in Grades K-3, in the VC Youth Orchestra. The VCES Ensembles will be performing: Marian Singers 4 and 5, Hand Bell Team Five, the VC Youth Orchestra, and fourth- and fifth-grade classes.
