Valiant performances were honored at the 2015 Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA) banquet. For the fifth time in the past six years, Valley Catholic High School received the OACA All-Sports Award and four coaches received all-sports awards.

Mish was recognized for his exceptional efforts as a CYO coach and named a member of the CYO Outstanding Coaching Class of the Year. He was honored for outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment to the CYO philosophy.

The magic number was four. In its first year in 4A competition, Valley Catholic sent four athletes to the track and field state championships. Those four Valiants provided a winning formula, including two state championships.

Thank you to our second grade classes for planning a beautiful Mass this week. We celebrated with our students who have received First Holy Communion, students who have been recently baptized and parents who have recently completed RCIA programs.

Senior Sannah Braun, a veteran Girl Scout of 12 years, has received the organization's Gold Award - its highest honor - for her thoughtful work on a suicide prevention video. She received the honor on May 19.
