Cleta started as a float teacher with VCELS in August 2010 with over 20 years experience in early childhood care and education. She is a valuable asset wherever she is assigned. Each afternoon (or earlier on VCES closure days), you will find her with the after-school students. She has two sons Canaan ’14 and Jace (Daffodil). She enjoys watching Canaan and the Valiants play basketball even though she doesn’t enjoy bringing him to 6 a.m. practices! 

Born in Las Vegas, Cleta grew up with an older sister and younger brother. She says her mom is the person who has had the most influence on her life. And if she could speak to VCHS students, she would tell them the importance of treating others how you would like to be treated. We are lucky to have such a caring example of Jesus’ love through Cleta’s teaching and care of the students in our school.
