Dear Parents/Athletes:

Welcome to another year of Valiant Athletics. Please refer to our website (www.valleycatholic.org) for information regarding physicals, schedules, and practices. Here are a couple of important reminders and some changes that this year will bring:

• Valley Catholic observes a no-cut policy in all of their athletic programs.
• Physicals are required every two years and must be done prior to participation in practices or games. The physicals must be filled out on the attached OSAA sanctioned form. Extra forms can be picked up in the main office or downloaded from www.osaa.org .
• Sport Consent forms must be filled out prior to each season. Coaches will hand them out and collect them within the first week of practice.
• Fall athletic fees ($85.00) are due by August 24th. Please turn your fee into the main office to receive your ticket to practice. You cannot participate in practice until your physical is turned in and your fee is paid.
• Game schedules can be picked up from a coach, in the office, or found most up to date on our website
• We will continue to replace our seasonal sports awards nights with one awards night, which will be held on Wednesday May 26th. Dinner will be provided and we will use this time to recognize our athletes, teams, and coaches. Each coach is asked to individually organize their team specific event at the conclusion of their season. More information regarding the sports awards will be sent out at a later date.
• Cross Country will hold their first practice August 24th from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, please meet in the athletic center lobby.
• Dance will begin practice on August 27th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, please meet in the athletic center lobby. There will also be a parent meeting on August 31st in the cafeteria at 6:30 pm.
• Boys Soccer will hold their first practice August 24th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, please meet on the soccer field.
• Football will hold their first practice August 24th from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, and again from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm please meet in the weight room.
• Girls Soccer will hold their first practice August 24th from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, please meet on the soccer field.
• Volleyball will hold their first practice August 24th from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, again from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, and the final session from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, please meet in the Valiants’ Gym. The last two practices of the day will be for varsity only.
• Coaches will hand out full practice schedules, consent forms, and game schedules at the time of the first meeting.
