The VALOR Network is the parent volunteer community at Valley Catholic School (VCS) and our purpose is to support, enhance and enrich the school in areas of communication, fundraising and hospitality.
VCS recognizes that the active participation of parents working closely with the school (administration, faculty & staff) is an essential partnership. Parent involvement is more than just a phrase at VCS, it is vital to the school and to the success of each child.
The VALOR Network invites and welcomes you as a volunteer. We believe that the educational experience is enhanced through a wide variety of interests, skills and talents that can be shared through volunteer efforts.
Research has shown that the most accurate predictor of a child's achievement in school is not income or social status, but the extent to which the child's parents are able to be involved in their child's education at school and in the community.
Goals of VALOR Network Parent Board:
- Support the mission of Valley Catholic School.
- Enhance communication and interaction among parents, faculty, administration and students.
- Plan and implement activities and events that promote a sense of community for the entire school.
- Promote volunteerism and increase parent participation.
- Support fundraising at VCS.
VALOR serves as an umbrella organization for all parent volunteer activities throughout the middle school and high school. There are seemingly endless volunteer possibilities at VC.
- If you wish to be involved in grade-level activities, you might serve as a chaperone or volunteer in the cafeteria.
- Maybe you’d like to help raise funds; you might be a caller for the VC Annual Fund, or for other special projects, such as the annual auction.
- Perhaps your child has grandparents or special friends who would like to get involved. What a wonderful opportunity for all!

Throughout the history of Valley Catholic School, we have enjoyed a wonderful spirit of generosity and volunteerism among our families. This time-honored tradition of tithing time, energy and concern toward a cause that is bigger than oneself is a gift.
