Sue Osborne

Sue OsborneSue Osborne, Valley Catholic librarian since 1994, earned her bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University, then taught junior-high English and Social Studies for six years in the Edmonds School District north of Seattle.  After raising a son and daughter, she returned to education as a library assistant at Glencoe High School in Hillsboro.  Having found her true passion in life (libraries), she enrolled at Portland State University to complete her Master’s Degree in Educational Library Media.  Simultaneously, she came to Valley Catholic School as their first professionally trained librarian. “It’s been like watching a child grow from infancy to young adulthood the last fifteen years when I recall how this library has evolved from the card-catalog days to a fully automated, fully resourced library.” When not listening to audible books and exploring resources for students and staff, Sue enjoys processing the yield from her husband Bill’s garden and engaging in activities with her six delightful grandchildren.
