Susan Miller, who currently teaches French I through French V, has been at Valley since 2000. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in French from Southeast Missouri State and a Master’s in French from Emporia State, writing her Master’s thesis, in French, on “Celtic Influences in 19th Century Folklore.” She has studied also at la Sorbonne and the University of Minnesota. Susan has taught high school in Missouri and at the Breck School in Minneapolis and has been an Instructor on the French faculties of Emporia State and Maryville University in St. Louis. Susan has visited France thirteen times, eight with students. Her interests include landscape painting, cooking, gardening, and reading. Susan has a daughter, a son, and three grandsons.
