Sarah Zinzer

Sarah ZinzerMiddle School Math Teacher. Sarah joined Valley Catholic School in 2011 as an elementary and middle school teacher. She teaches fourth- and fifth-grade science as well as sixth-grade math and seventh-grade study skills. Sarah graduated with a bachelor of arts in biology education from Corban University in 2006, where she received the Education Award for Excellence in Technology. Sarah also received a technology grant from the Oregon Technology in Education Network, and presented at the conference in 2007. This will be Sarah’s sixth year of teaching in the area. From 2006-2008, Sarah taught seventh- to twelfth-grade science and math at North Clackamas Christian School in Oregon City. She then spent a year teaching biology and anatomy at Westside Christian High School in Lake Oswego. Sarah then went back to school to earn a master’s of science in curriculum and instruction from Portland State University, while substitute teaching for various public schools. Last year, Sarah taught sixth- to eight-grade science and technology and sixth-grade math at the Portland French School. She coordinated the community service program and went through training to become certified in the International Baccalaureate program. Sarah enjoys travelling, and has been fortunate enough to visit fantastic locations in Ireland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Canada, and Mexico. She is a certified open water diver and has a soft spot in her heart for nudibranchs. Sarah enjoys playing golf, tennis, guitar, sailing, swimming, and the NFL. Go Packers!
