Ranil Jinadasa

Ranil JinadasaRanil Jinadasa has maintained Valley Catholic’s buildings since 1999.  His secondary education was at Trinity College in Kandy, Sri Lanka, where he played rugby and field hockey.  He then earned a Certificate of Agriculture from Aquinas University College in Colombo and began a career in agriculture, managing primarily tea estates but also rubber, coconut, and cinnamon plantations.  Ranil and his family left Sri Lanka because of its political unrest and terrorism directed at large agricultural holdings.  They emigrated first to Georgetown, Guyana, where Ranil worked as a farm manager for a pharmaceutical and stock feed company.  In 1989 the Jinadasa’s came to Beaverton, where Ranil worked ten years for St. Cecilia Parish before coming to Valley.  Ranil’s wife, Roshini, has worked on campus at Maryville for many years.  They have three grown children and three grandchildren.
