Nelia de Ocampo has been the organist/pianist at St. Michael the Archangel parish for the past 16 years. Prior to playing at St. Michael’s, she has also played the organ at St. Therese, St. Ignatius, St. Patrick and St. James in Vancouver.
Nelia earned her Teacher’s Diploma in Music, Bachelor of Music at the University of the Philippines and Graduate Studies at San Francisco State University. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) and is also a member of the Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA), the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).
Nelia has been teaching piano at Valley Catholic Music School for five years and has maintained a private studio in Beaverton for the past 25 years. Her favorite pastimes include travel, reading, dancing, playing and listening to music and spending time with her four grandchildren.
