Nenita Navarro, who has taught at Valley Catholic since 1986, currently teaches Spanish I, IV, and V, is Chairwoman of the Language Department, sponsors the school’s chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society, advises the International Club, and has taken Valley students on nine trips to Spain and Mexico. Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Nenita moved with her family to Lincoln, Nebraska when she was a teenager. She graduated from St. Pius X High School in Lincoln and soon after moved to Oregon, where she earned a degree in Secondary Education in teaching Spanish from Portland State. Nenita enjoys music, gardening, and family time with her husband, Luis, and their two children and two granddaughters.
