Melissa Alarcón-Evans
Melissa Alarcón-Evans has been teaching Spanish at Valley Catholic since 1993; she currently teaches Spanish II and III. Melissa earned a B.A. in Spanish from Portland State University in 1989 and an MAT in 1993. In 2008 she completed the Oregon Administrators Licensure Program through Portland State. Before beginning teaching Melissa was an exchange student to the University of Puerto Rico and also attended two month-long immersion programs to improve her Spanish fluency. She is a strong advocate for life-long learning and cultural competency and strives to instill these values in her students. Melissa loves to travel, read, and, of course, speak Spanish.
