Kathy W. Johnson
Kathy Whittemore Johnson has taught English at Valley Catholic since 1992. She currently teaches Junior and Senior English, Newspaper and Web Design, and Academic Skills. Before coming to Valley, Kathy was President of Whittemore-Johnson Public Relations Company, providing services to non-profit organizations in Portland; Editor of Tucson City Magazine; Coordinator for Big Brother Big Sister Program in Tucson; Labor Relations Specialist for the City of Eugene; and Coordinator for the Oregon Juvenile Justice System, Portland YMCA (VISTA Program). Kathy graduated from Catlin Gabel School, earned a B.A. in Humanities and Political Science from Scripps College in Claremont, California, and a Master’s in Labor Relations from the University of Oregon. Kathy is active in local politics and enjoys running, kayaking, reading, and, most of all, spending time with family.
