Elizabeth Richard

Elizabeth BarnhartElizabeth Richard came to Valley Catholic in 2007 where she is now the Middle School religion teacher and a member of the High School history department. Elizabeth grew up in Florence, Oregon and attended Siuslaw High School, where she participated in four years of varsity cross country and softball. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Secondary Education and History at the University of Portland, where she was an active participant in campus ministry. Her sophomore year was spent studying in Salzburg, Austria. After graduation, Elizabeth earned a Master’s of Education degree in the Providence Alliance for Catholic Teachers (PACT) program at Providence College, living in community, attending graduate school full-time, and teaching middle- school religion and grammar for two years at a small urban Catholic school in New Bedford, MA.
