Colette Cassinelli joined Valley Catholic’s Middle and High School faculty in 2000 and currently teaches Graphic Design, Digital Video, Newspaper and Web Publishing, and Computer Applications and serves as Chairwoman of the Computer Department. Colette earned her bachelor’s degree at Oregon State in Elementary Education, with an Endorsement in Reading and completed a Master's of Educational Technology in 2007 from Pepperdine University.
Colette began teaching over 20 years ago as the 6th grade teacher at St. Mary of the Valley. She then joined the faculty of St. Clare in Portland, teaching 3rd grade and serving as resource-room specialist and the school's first Librarian. In 2002, Oregon Public Broadcasting and the National Teacher Training Institute named Colette their "Oregon Technology Teacher of the Year."
She has presented workshops at technology conferences of the Northwest Council for Computer Education, the Innovative Learning Conference in CA, and the National Catholic Education Association. Colette and her husband are parents of two Valley Catholic graduates.
