Welcome to Valley Catholic Elementary School! I’m eager for you to learn more about our school and our commitment to our students. We are a tight-knit Catholic community run by the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon and led by their vision. Our brand-new, state-of-the art facility, ready for the 2011-2012 school year, is just one outward sign of the commitment the Sisters have made to the education of students on our beautiful 43-acre campus.
At Valley Catholic Elementary School, we actively live out our mission – aspiring to build a community committed to teaching, learning, and living as Jesus did. We do this by providing an academically rich, faith-filled learning environment. We respect, affirm, and value each other, seeing each day, activity, and challenge as an opportunity to learn about ourselves and others. Through our school program, we encourage all students to develop a true sense of justice, peace, compassion, and respect for all of God’s creation. As we do this, we maintain high academic and behavioral standards, preparing students for life-long learning, leadership, and service.
We are committed to working together with parents to provide our students not only with a quality education but also a safe, positive environment in which to learn. Recognizing parents as the primary educators of their children, we value the relationship between the school and parents as a partnership. We encourage parents to take an active role in the education of their children by promoting student responsibility and helping students to develop a passion for education.
